Check with your previous provider, many offer short term or temporary health insurance plans. For example, Blue Cross, Blue Shield offers dozens of plans that range from 30-365 days. If you're a recent college graduate you may not even need to switch providers. Contact the insurance company that you were on before graduation (presumably, your parents') and inquire about their temporary health insurance. Before signing up for coverage, get a quote and then start shopping around.
